Rural Youth in Latin America: Evidence from the Academic Literature

This academic article analyzes the social, political, cultural, and economic dynamics affecting rural youth in Latin America between 2000 and 2021. Through a literature review of scientific studies in the SciELO database, it identifies four key themes: identities and representations, rural aging, territory and life strategies, and violence. The paper highlights the invisibility of this population in research and recognizes their crucial role in sustaining rural life.
