Description
The Sustainable Agriculture in the Caribbean (SAC) Project, led by the Canadian organization World University Service of Canada, seeks to promote climate-resilient agriculture that drives equitable economic growth in Jamaica and four other Caribbean countries. Focused on improving economic opportunities for women and youth, the project addresses barriers in agricultural market systems, fosters training, leadership, and access to resources, and promotes sustainable and climate-adapted agricultural practices. SAC is aligned with national programs such as Rural Youth Economic Empowerment and Women in Bloom, and has an investment of 20 million Canadian dollars over a five-year period (2021-2026).
