Transforming the life contexts of children and youth

The 5th Latin American and Caribbean Biennial on Early Childhood, Childhood, and Youth, held in Manizales, Colombia, from July 17 to 21, 2023, brought together academics, public policymakers, and social organizations to analyze and transform the life contexts of children and young people in Latin America and the Caribbean. The event promoted dialogue between academia, the state, and civil society, addressing inequalities, social mobilization, and life narratives. Highlights included Karina Batthyány's inaugural lecture on the care society, integrating childhood, youth, and gender agendas in the region.
