Challenges of the Agricultural Sector Facing Climate Change in the Colombian Dry Caribbean

Description
This study characterizes 240 rural production units of small-scale farmers in Colombia, to identify adaptation strategies to climate change. Using a mixed-methods approach, both bibliographic and field data were analyzed, revealing the sector's high vulnerability due to poverty, soil degradation, lack of infrastructure, and limited technical capacity. The study highlights the urgent need to strengthen environmental sustainability and make comprehensive investments to improve the region’s social, productive, and ecological conditions.
