Description

This document analyzes the challenges and opportunities related to the financing needed to eradicate hunger and malnutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean. Using a food systems approach, it presents preliminary cost estimates, existing financial flows, and information gaps. It also proposes a conceptual framework that integrates various types of financing—public, private, and international—and offers recommendations to optimize policies, budgets, and institutional mechanisms. The report aims to serve as a starting point to strengthen national and regional strategies for sustainable food security and nutrition.
