The objective of this research is to demonstrate, through the literature review, that the implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have a positive impact on the performance of agricultural production in Mexico, reviewing the use of ICTs as a potential tool in the agricultural value chain and its close relationship with the development of this primary activity. the review and comparison was made based on the statistical data obtained from the OECD on internet access in the countries that belong to the G20, internet access in the states of the Mexican Republic with data from INEGI and the success stories that have occurred from the implementation of information and communication technologies in different parts of Latin America. as is the case of Mexico, Argentina and El Salvador, the success stories mainly show the optimization that can be had in production based on the use of a tool that is already offered globally, the data collected yielded important information about the need in Mexico and especially in agricultural areas for the implementation of public policies in which the networks of internet, access to and use of applications and access to devices that allow the use of applications in an effective way focused on a more resilient, effective and efficient production in agricultural activity.
