Main barriers to ICT adoption in agriculture and rural areas

This document provides an overview of the issue of constraints to ICT adoption in agriculture in Latin America, pointing out features and trends in ICT access and adoption. It also analyzes the responses of countries to the challenge of generalizing the information society in the agricultural sector and in rural areas of the region, with special attention to the situation of small-scale agriculture.
