This country profile presents a comprehensive analysis of Nutrition Smart Agriculture (NSmartAg) technologies and practices in Guatemala, aimed at simultaneously improving agricultural incomes and nutritional outcomes. The document identifies the country's main nutritional deficiencies, particularly in iron, zinc and vitamin B12, which especially affect indigenous and rural populations. It analyzes NSmartAg practices implemented in five selected regions, ranging from primary production to post-harvest processing. The study provides specific recommendations for adopting and scaling these technologies within Guatemala's institutional framework, including the National Food and Nutrition Security System (SINASAN).
