Description

The National Health Survey (ENS) 2020-2021 is a national epidemiological study developed by the National Institute of Health of El Salvador that aims to characterize the health status of the Salvadoran population. The survey collects information on health indicators, risk factors, access to health services and socioeconomic conditions that influence population wellbeing. This research instrument provides fundamental data for the formulation of evidence-based public health policies. The results obtained allow for the identification of main public health problems and guide health interventions toward the most pressing needs of the population. The ENS constitutes an essential tool for monitoring and evaluation of the national health system and compliance with sustainable development goals related to health.
