Description

Uruguay officially approved the National Bioinputs Plan through Decree No. 042/025, signed on February 20, 2025. This plan, developed by the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP), responds to the mandate established in Law No. 20.212 of November 6, 2023, which declares the use of bioinputs in agricultural production to be of national interest and entrusts the MGAP with the formulation of the National Bioinputs Plan. The initiative aims to promote the sustainable development of the agricultural sector by encouraging the use of biological products, highlighting their potential to foster sustainable practices and support the growth of new sectors within the national economy.
