Description
This document presents the calculation of the technical potential of energy that can be obtained in Honduras through biomass, using a geospatial platform developed by ECLAC in collaboration with UNAM. It analyzes various types of biomass resources such as forest by-products, dedicated plantations, native forests and energy crops, identifying a total technical potential of 756.5 PJ/year that could partially replace non-renewable sources and diversify the Honduran energy matrix.
