Description

The Toolbox for Integrating Biodiversity into Development Planning in Latin America and the Caribbean seeks to support the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It brings together a set of resources that seek to contribute to capacity building and knowledge management on relevant aspects for the integration of biodiversity in the planning of sectoral public policies in the countries of the region. It is aimed at all public and private actors involved in sectoral policy planning and decision-making processes at all governmental and territorial levels. The box was built within the framework of cooperation activities between the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the European Union Support Project for the implementation of the Post-2020 Biodiversity Framework; and it is the product of the collaboration of experts from international organizations, academia, the public sector and organized civil society. Among the resources compiled to build this toolbox are: information resources, publications, methodological tools, databases, case reviews, analysis exercises and diagnoses that reflect the perspective of experts from different areas on challenges and solutions for integrating biodiversity in the planning of the sectors.
