Policy brief
12/12/2024
Description
This study estimates for the first time the populations of Latin America and the Caribbean at risk of poverty due to structural factors and climatic events. Peru, Colombia and Honduras are the most vulnerable, while Uruguay and Chile are the least. Although structural factors predominate, climatic events significantly aggravate the impact on well-being. In addition, the study analyzes the geographical distribution of these populations and the coverage of social assistance programs.
