Description
Access to safe water faces growing challenges due to climate change and environmental degradation. More than 2.2 billion people lack safe drinking water and shortages will worsen by 2050. Droughts, floods and the collapse of water sources especially affect rural communities. Protecting and better managing water resources is key to averting a major crisis.
