However, the lack of clear definitions and data limits its inclusion in effective public policies. The document highlights the need for differentiated approaches to characterize the heterogeneity of the sector and the urgency of robust methodologies to capture its diversity. In addition, the document promotes the integration of family farming in policies that support sustainability and resilience, aligning it with the Sustainable Development Goals.
