Description

At the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the Convention on Biological Diversity, held in Cali, Colombia, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) launched the Support Initiative for National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans in the agri-food sector (Agri-NBSAPs). This initiative aims to assist countries in identifying advanced financial tools, schemes, and mechanisms, as well as innovative policies that incentivize sustainable practices in agri-food systems, measuring their impact on biodiversity and socio-economic outcomes, thereby accelerating the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework.
