International organizations meet in Costa Rica to promote transformation policies for agricultural productivity and sustainability

The main international organizations met at IICA headquarters in Costa Rica for a two-day workshop on promoting new public policies to transform agrifood systems. The meeting seeks to promote productivity, sustainability, and resilience in the context of increasing global complexity. Key issues such as environmental sustainability, food security, bioeconomy, environmental services,s, and technological innovation were discussed. Participants emphasized the need for transformative policies that respond to local and global challenges, considering the climate crisis, food insecurity, and growing social demands.
