European Parliament approves with amendments the postponement of the EUDR regulation on deforestation

The European Parliament voted on November 14 on the Commission's proposal to postpone the implementation of the EU regulation on deforestation by one year. The proposal was approved by a majority of 371 votes in favor. The new compliance deadlines would be set at December 30, 2025, for large operators and traders, and June 30, 2026, for micro and small enterprises. In addition to the Commission's postponement proposal, the Parliament has incorporated and voted on a number of amendments to the Regulation.
