Description

The EUDR Coffee Check is a specialized tool designed to streamline compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) for coffee shipments. It provides an automated assessment of deforestation risk by cross-referencing geolocation data with remote sensing datasets, ensuring rapid identification of deforestation risks. In addition, it assesses risks to human rights and governance using international datasets from institutions such as the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations, covering key aspects of the EUDR such as indigenous rights, child labor, modern slavery, corruption and conflict. The tool integrates geolocation data and provides step-by-step guidance for documenting compliance with local laws and forest-related regulations. Available for the 18 largest coffee-producing countries, EUDR Coffee Check provides recommendations to mitigate risks and records each step of compliance, generating comprehensive reports that meet official scrutiny requirements.
