Description

Latin America and the Caribbean face development traps that hinder a more productive, inclusive and sustainable future, in an international context in transition towards new rules for trade and investment. ECLAC proposes three key transformations: a productive transformation for sustained and inclusive growth, one to reduce inequality and promote social mobility, and another to boost sustainability and combat climate change. To overcome these challenges, it is necessary to improve governance, strengthen institutional capacities and foster social dialogue.
