Description

The Latin American and Caribbean Trade Outlook edition analyses how protectionism, geopolitical tensions and maritime transport disruptions affect regional trade. It highlights the paradox that, although it is the main net exporter of food, the region suffers from food insecurity, especially in the Caribbean. It also examines the potential of modern services to boost exports, recommending reducing restrictions, harmonizing regulations, promoting digital transformation and attracting foreign investment. Productive integration is key to improving food security and diversifying exports.
