Towards the transformation of the growth and development strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean: the role of productive development policies

The article analyzes the problem of low economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean, attributing it mainly to low productivity. It proposes a new growth strategy based on more ambitious and better implemented productive development policies. It presents six guidelines to guide these policies, emphasizing sectoral selectivity, territorial approach, experimentalist governance and continuous evaluation.
