Ecuador presented the Deforestation Free Green Initiative Distinctive at COP 27

During the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27), Ecuador, together with some of its most important trade and development partners, presented the new national deforestation-free trade certification scheme “Distintivo Verde, deforestation-free”, as a result of a pioneering economic and environmental partnership between the Government of Ecuador; local cooperatives in the Amazon; the Italian corporation Lavazza, the Belgian company Silva Cacao and the United Nations Development Program.
