The article examines the potential implications of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) proposal and the recently adopted legislation in the United Kingdom regarding deforestation-free supply chains for different actors in Brazil Additionally, it assesses the preparedness for compliance in supply chains for livestock, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, soy, and tropical timber in Brazil, highlighting specific challenges that may arise Through a Compliance Probability Index, the research provides comparable insights for policymakers on sectors that may require more support to meet requirements and maintain access to EU and UK markets Coffee shows the greatest incentive and fewer obstacles for compliance, while the livestock sector faces stronger challenges.
