Description

The purpose of this note is to support the dialogue to consider the gender equality approach and the cultural approach in policies for food security, productivity, and rural development. We explore elements that must be taken into account to incorporate rural and indigenous women into rural development within the context of leaving no one behind, based on the particular conditions of the Mexican countryside. This note has been produced within the framework of the strategic alliance between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), who work together at the global and national levels to maximize results and sustainably support countries in the fight against hunger, malnutrition and poverty. The shared vision is to promote global food security for all.
