Technical report
13/11/2020
Description
It is projected that, due to the COVID-19 health emergency, at least 400,000 more people will be added to the number of individuals experiencing severe food insecurity in Chile. This is a result of the potential increase in the unemployment rate, loss of income, and consequently, limited access to nutritious food (FAO, 2020). This publication proposes mechanisms and strategies to ensure both health, in terms of protection against the coronavirus, and food security.
