The Office of Agrarian Studies and Policies of the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture has turned its attention to the future of national agriculture, highlighting significant advances and reflecting on its long-term determinants. The agricultural forestry sector and the food industry are key economic pillars, whose inclusive and sustainable development seeks to reduce historical dependence on mining production. The ambitious goal of doubling exports of food and forest products by 2030 presents considerable challenges, requiring actions beyond simple increases in infrastructure or production. This initiative seeks to anticipate and address critical areas and gaps through a prospective approach, collecting the analysis of multiple experts and sensitive areas such as sectoral economics, market transparency, agricultural work, forestry activity, small agriculture, agroenergy, and the environmental dimension. and territorial.
