In CAN 2022, data from 454,950 units were collected, of which 336,742 were plots with agricultural activity, including 291,497 agricultural farms. In the Eastern Region there are 97% of these farms and 44% of their surface, while the Western Region has 3% of the farms and 56% of the surface. 95.4% of the farms are managed by a single producer, with Paraguayans predominating (96.74%). 55% of the farms have definitive title and 71.4% temporary crops. Among the main temporary crops, soybeans and corn stand out, and in permanent crops, yerba mate and banana. 69% of the farms have cattle and 72% poultry. Only 15.2% received technical assistance and 14.9% accessed credit.
