In response to the growing threat of the cattle screwworm in Central America, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Mexico, through Senasica, has intensified preventive measures since July 2023. These include animal health inspection at airports, seaports and borders, and a broad information campaign that reaches 24,452 contact points in all the states of the country.
