Description

The report analyzes the benefits and challenges of modernizing agriculture through mechanization. Addresses how the incorporation of modern technology and machinery in agriculture can significantly influence the productivity and sustainability of the sector. However, it highlights the need to adopt practices that not only include modern equipment, but also sustainable approaches that mitigate adverse environmental impacts such as the emission of black carbon and other pollutants derived from inefficient machinery. The text also discusses variations in the adoption of these technologies in Mexico, showing how economic factors, the availability of technology adapted to local conditions and the size of farms affect their implementation. It is noted that the supply of agricultural machinery in Mexico is dominated by imported products, which could limit technological adaptation to the specific needs of the country's agricultural regions.
