Description

The Government of El Salvador launched the Agricultural Bonus that seeks to support more than 560,000 producers. This program provides a $75 card to each registered producer to purchase agricultural inputs at points authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. The card must be used within 60 days and in a single transaction. Beneficiaries can buy seeds, fertilizers, insecticides, among other products. The distribution of the bonus will begin on May 13 in the western zone and will be extended for a month to other regions. This bond is part of the government's efforts to diversify agriculture and move towards food security in the country.
