Reflections on agricultural and rural development and agro-food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean

The main challenge for Latin America and the Caribbean lies in achieving sustained growth that promotes equity, social inclusion and guarantees adequate nutrition for all. This must go hand in hand with the recognition of the region as a fundamental actor in global food security, environmental sustainability and the preservation of biodiversity at a global level. The effective implementation of the Continental Alliance is not only vital for our communities, but also has significant implications on a global level.
