The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Colombia, through FINAGRO, and Davivienda join forces to deliver 14,000 100% subsidized insurance to farmers and small producers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development through FINAGRO, Davivienda and Seguros Bolívar announced an alliance to protect with agricultural insurance investments for more than $94,000 million pesos for economic activities such as coffee, cocoa, papa crops, corn, banana, rice, avocado, cane, among others. Rural Tranquility Insurance was designed by Seguros Bolívar to protect agricultural producers against excessive rain or drought that affect their productivity and income. This is parametric insurance with cutting-edge technology, which remotely obtains historical and satellite information in real time to evaluate weather conditions and determine compensation payment.
