Description

During the High-Level Economic Dialogue held in Guatemala, the United States announced an expansion of the Vision for Adapted Crops and Soils (VACS) program to the Western Hemisphere, beginning in Guatemala. The partnership between the United States, IICA and Guatemalan actors will focus on developing a VACS strategy that promotes a more resilient food system by growing climate-adapted varieties and improving soil health and fertility. This initiative will seek to identify areas of future investment and mobilize resources from the public and private sector to advance the objectives of VACS in Guatemala.
