The report points out the importance of understanding the interrelated and systemic risks, as well as the underlying factors that drive the risk of catastrophes, including climate change, pandemics, epidemics and armed conflicts, and how these factors affect agricultural production, value chains and food security. Furthermore, it highlights the urgent need to improve data collection instruments and systems to support evidence-based policies and solutions aimed at reducing risk and building resilience in agriculture.
