Description

ECLAC has compiled good practices and experiences from Latin America and the Caribbean to address current global crises, including environmental, climate, economic, social and health crises. This study analyzes challenges, opportunities and lessons learned in integrating biodiversity in various sectors, such as agriculture, fisheries, forestry, financial, manufacturing, infrastructure and tourism. These experiences can catalyze the transition towards comprehensive development, aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the new post-2020 global biodiversity framework. The cases analyzed show that the transformation towards production and development patterns that respect nature is possible and replicable in the región.
