01/11/2023
Description
The latest edition of the Latin American and Caribbean International Trade Outlook analyzes the regional trade situation in 2023, highlighting weak global demand, declining commodity prices and the growing influence of geopolitics. The trade relationship with China is also examined, which, despite its dynamism, continues to be characterized by the exchange of raw materials for manufactures. In addition, the progress and challenges in regional trade facilitation are reviewed, concluding that greater efforts are needed to digitalize trade formalities and seek new forms of financing to improve transportation and logistics infrastructure.
