Description

FAO, in collaboration with various actors in Latin America and the Caribbean, highlights the vital role of traditional food markets in the region. These markets not only guarantee food access for families, but also generate economic opportunities and help face challenges such as climate change and geoeconomic conflicts. FAO has worked in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay to strengthen these markets and modernize them.
