Description

International trade improves food security by increasing efficiency and providing consumers with access to a variety of foods at lower prices. Despite geographic proximity, the exchange of agrifood products between the countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is limited. This study seeks to identify opportunities to enhance this trade in order to reduce food insecurity, generate employment, reactivate economies and improve living conditions in both regions.
