School feeding programmes in low- and lower-middle-income countries. A focused review of recent evidence from impact evaluations

With the main objective of providing an empirical basis for impact evaluation initiatives of the World Food Programme. In relation to the Programme's school feeding programmes, this review explores recent research on school feeding interventions. The evidence from 20 publications on school feeding, including 12 randomized and quasi-experiments, conducted in low- and lower-middle-income countries, published in the last ten years, is synthesized.
