Description

The report probes the evidence and effects of agricultural bioinput use, highlighting their potential for investment and economic viability, including their social and environmental co-benefits. This report also posits that investing in the development, production, and adoption of bioinputs represents a practical and tangible measure, converging various approaches like agroecology, the circular economy, the bioeconomy, and regenerative agriculture, among others. By classifying and differentiating value chains according to type, level of complexity, and operational scale, the publication enables the definition of more effective investment frameworks. This new publication paves the way for governments in the region and international financial institutions to actively support investments in the development of agricultural bioinputs, as well as for the promotion of policies and regulatory frameworks that facilitate their adoption and use.
