Description

Despite existing for over 80 years, the Brazilian Forest Code has been ineffective in reducing deforestation in the Amazon due to lack of adherence and enforcement. Recent revisions aim to facilitate compliance, encourage environmental conservation, and strengthen monitoring of protected areas.
