The Outlook for Agriculture and Rural Development in the Americas: A Look at Latin America and the Caribbean 2019-2020

ECLAC, FAO and IICA propose a "twin-track" intersectoral approach to rural development in Latin America and the Caribbean. This approach recognizes that rural development is fundamental to overcoming poverty, combating hunger and malnutrition, and mitigating climate change. The report proposes a series of policies and actions to support rural development, such as strengthening public investment, promoting innovation and facilitating access to markets.
