Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean 2022

In its 2022 edition, the Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean examines the performance of the region's economies during the current year and updates growth estimates and other economic indicators that reflect the impact suffered by the region's countries as a result of the COVID-19 crisis and their subsequent recovery. Specifically, this annual report presents new estimates of gross domestic product (GDP) for the region and all its countries in 2022 and projections for 2023. The document analyzes the economic and social dynamics of the past year and discusses the risks and policy challenges the region will face in 2023 in order to foster a transformative recovery.
