The Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean examines the performance of the region's economies during the current year and updates growth estimates and other economic indicators that reflect the impact suffered by the region's countries in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis and their subsequent recovery. In particular, this annual report presents new gross domestic product (GDP) estimates for the region and all its countries in 2022 and projections for 2023. The document analyzes the economic and social dynamics of the year just ended, and discusses the risks and policy challenges the region will face in 2023 to drive a transformative recovery.
