Preliminary Overview of LAC Economies, 2022

In its 2022 edition, the Preliminary Balance of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean examines the performance of the region's economies during the current year and updates growth estimates and other economic indicators reflecting the impact experienced by the countries of the region due to the COVID-19 crisis and its subsequent recovery. In particular, this annual report provides new estimates of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the region and all its countries in 2022 and projections for 2023. The document analyzes the economic and social dynamics of the recently concluded year and discusses the policy risks and challenges the region will face in 2023 to drive a transformative recovery.
