Description

The climatic phenomenon known as El Niño has intensified its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean, generating extreme weather events ranging from droughts to floods and alterations in temperature patterns. Agriculture, which includes crops, livestock, forests, fisheries and aquaculture, absorbs 26% of the total direct damage and losses caused by this type of event, so we must be vigilant.
