In Costa Rica there are areas of opportunity that must be overcome so that the growth of the bioinputs sector is dynamic and can be internationalized, among which are: greater accessibility to toxicological tests and registrations, improvement in credit options for the purchase of equipment, the implementation of campaigns to promote biological control as a method of integrated pest management, training on the good management and application of biocontrollers to avoid efficacy problems, improvement in the link between companies and research centers to enhance research development and scaling of products, inter-institutional coordination to avoid duplication of research efforts and the management of public policies that promote and encourage the use of biological control products.
