Fecha de inicio: 29/04/2021
Fecha de fin: 05/05/2026

Description

The project aims to improve integrated landscape management and promote climate-smart production practices in selected watersheds in Mexico. It is part of the Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration Impact Program (FOLUR). The project’s expected results include achieving 450,000 hectares of landscape under improved practices, 10,000 farmers adopting improved agricultural technology (of which 3,000 must be women), and 70% of producer groups implementing climate-smart practices that increase productivity by at least 10%. The project is structured into four main components. The first component is the development and promotion of integrated landscape management (ILM) through technical assistance. The second component focuses on promoting business skills for responsible livestock and agroforestry, strengthening the environmental and social responsibility of value chains by improving the business and organizational capacities of producer groups. The third component focuses on the conservation, restoration and implementation of climate-smart production practices in livestock and agroforestry landscapes, promoting land restoration and climate-smart production practices in selected watersheds. The fourth component is dedicated to project coordination, collaboration and knowledge management.
