Enhancing the capacities of Banco de Desarrollo de Ecuador B.P. (BDE) to support its accreditation to the Green Climate Fund

Its general objective is to support the accreditation process of Banco de Desarrollo de Ecuador B.P. by strengthening the institutional and technical capacities and thus obtain the appropriate qualifications required by the accreditation standards of the Green Climate Fund. Its specific objectives are: Involve BDE B.P in the programming of Ecuador's and the country's Nationally Determined Contributions, the National Climate Change Strategy (ENCC), the National Climate Finance Strategy (EFIC), through the establishment of an appropriate coordination mechanism. Develop BDE B.P.'s capacity to meet and maintain GCF accreditation standards for direct access applicants and accredited entities. Promote best practices in institutional capacity building and coordination, strengthen the engagement of Designated National Authorities and Duly Accredited Entities with the Green Climate Fund.
